About the TikTok video downloader
What a video download gives you, which quality to expect and how to save it on any device.
01
How to download a TikTok video without watermark
Open the video in TikTok, tap Share and choose Copy link. Paste the link into the box at the top of the page and press Download. When the result card appears, choose HD for the best quality or SD for a smaller file, and the MP4 saves to your device.
The same four steps work for every TikTok download video request, whether you use a phone or a computer. Nothing is installed and no account is needed.
02
What you get from a video download
Paste the link of any public TikTok and the tool returns the video as an MP4 without the TikTok logo and username overlay. Choose HD for the best version TikTok provides, up to 1080p, or SD when you want a smaller file for chat apps.
Picture, framing and sound are the same as in the app. Captions the creator added inside the video stay, because they are part of the footage; only the TikTok watermark is left out.
Credit the creator. Save for personal use, and ask before you repost someone else's video.
03
Resolution, and why it varies
Quality is set by the creator's upload, not by us. A video uploaded at 720p downloads at 720p, and no honest tool can add detail that was never there. The page lists the resolutions available for that post, so you pick HD or SD knowingly.
If a download is not HD when you expected it, the usual cause is a lower-resolution original or a post that TikTok serves in only one size.
04
Saving on iPhone, Android and desktop
On iPhone, use Safari. After the download, tap the arrow in the address bar, open the file and choose Save Video. On Android, Chrome puts the MP4 in Downloads and your gallery shows it shortly after.
On a computer the file goes to your browser's download folder, ready for any editor. All three need only a browser; there is no app or extension to install.
05
Links that work
Full links, short vm.tiktok.com and vt.tiktok.com links, and links copied from the desktop site all work. If the link has extra text around it, paste only the URL and remove spaces at either end.
Links to private posts, or to videos the creator has deleted, cannot be fetched.
06
If a download doesn't work
Most failures come from the link, not the tool. Check that you copied the whole link, that the post is still online and that it is public. A deleted video, or one limited to followers, cannot be fetched.
If everything looks right, wait a few seconds and try once more, because TikTok occasionally rate-limits requests. Region-locked posts can also fail. The troubleshooting guide walks through each cause in order.
